Welcome to the UofL Tennis Club

Hello,

My name is Paul Berrier and I am the President of the UofL Tennis Club. I would like to personally welcome you to our website and hope that you find it useful. There are a lot of exciting things happening with the club right now and we are eager to get you involved!

In order to make the program more beneficial to you we have made several changes to the team that will take effect this semester. These changes are very important and will help set our program apart from any other program in the state. Please take a minute to view the website and be sure to come out to a practice. I guarantee you will have a great time!

Sincerely,

Paul F. Berrier

Find Us on Campus

During the first week of school, the UofLTC will be setting up booths around campus to spread the word about our program. Below is a list of when and where to find us!

  1. Sunday, August 19, 2007 in the gym of the Student Activities Center (SAC). We will be there from 2:00pm-4:00pm.
  2. Wednesday, August 22, 2007 outside of the Redbarn. You can find us there from 11:30am-1:30pm.

Hopefully you can make it out to one of our information fairs. We hope to see you there!

A Spot on the Roster for Everyone!

The UofLTC is different from other university based tennis clubs in Kentucky.  In addition to offering professional coaching at our practices, we also offer teams made up of different ability levels.  This allows both inexperienced and experienced players to join and participate in a fun and comfortable environment.  Our teams include a competitive traveling team, as well as teams made up of beginning, intermediate, and advanced players. So whether you have played tennis for years, or have always wanted to, the UofLTC has a group for you. Visit the "Tennis Teams" link at the top of the page to find out which team is right for you! On the UofLTC there is a spot on the roster for everyone.

Why Join a Team Tennis Club?

Team Tennis Clubs promote the growth of tennis, as well as the individuals involved in the program. Because tennis is as much a game of the mind as it the body, it is this club's mission to promote the mental, physical and psychological aspects of the game. The concentration and emotional coping skills that tennis requires enhance one's every endeavor in life and will continue to pay dividends long after you have left the university behind and embarked on a meaningful career.

As a special perk, the University of Louisville Tennis Club has joined forces with the United States Tennis Association (USTA) to promote the growth of tennis on UofL’s campus. By partnering with such a prominent organization we can offer our member’s special offers and programs so that our maximum potential can be realized.
